Fast Break Friday you know what it is!

What ever you are doing, be all in. When you’re working on your craft, be all in. When you’re with your family, be all in. When you’re working out, be all in. When you’re resting, be all in.

It will allow you to be more productive, it will allow you to get things done faster, it will free up more time for the next move.

You gotta be all in. Keep going.

Blue Jays

Ross Atkins, Rogers, set the tone in spring and pay your guys! Vlad Jr the last 4 years? 636 games, 136 homers, 405 RBI’s while hitting just under 300. MVP vibes, face of the franchise—pony up, or you’re gonna be pitching to him on another division team next year.  Bichette? Sign him on a discount after a down year battling injuries—he produced 3 solid seasons before that, but he’s still your shortstop. Get the deal done.  Lock these two up long-term—show the team and fans you’re for real.. Then you can focus on the field and win games!  What do you think?—pay Vlad and Bo, or risk letting em walk?

Speaking of cutting the cheque

Stephen A Smith just secured a 5 year $100M contract.. Hold up, rewind that!” Love him or hate him—and I know some of y’all hate him—this dude’s the king of hot takes, the face of First Take, and now the highest-paid non-athlete in the game. He’s scalin’ back on side gigs to keep droppin’ those fire rants. $20M a year to yell about LeBron and the Cowboys? Sign me up! Is he worth it? ESPN certainly thinks so.

NFL Free Agency Frenzy Headlines

Buckle up, we’re divin’ into the NFL chaos—free agency’s poppin’ off, and the headlines are JUICY!

Dallas Cowboys

This is already looking better than last offseason. I’m going to have to continue to shit on Jerry Jones, because I did on Tuesday’s episode, then he went ahead and re-signed Osa Odigizuwa to a 4 year $80M contract. This dude is a tank–he’s a weight room warrior, he’s played all 17 games the last 3 years. Among DT’s he finished first in QB hits, and 4th in pass rush win rate. This deal makes him the 14th highest paid DT.. That is a steal and I’m pumped.

Then Jerry restructures CeeDee Lamb’s Deal, restructures Dak’s deal and the cap space goes from $3M on Monday to $56M on Thursday. Now go and get the deal done for Parsons–make most of this year’s salary into a signing bonus, free up more cash, and make a free agent splash. So I’m going to try and jynx it again and say that Jerry will NOT extend Parsons and he will NOT make any moves in free agency. Prove me wrong, Jerry–Please!

Crosby Secures The Bag

Maxx Crosby just became the highest paid non-QB in NFL History. 3 year-$106M extension, $35.5M per year with $91M guaranteed. This guy is an absolute dog. Fourth round pick turned SOBER superstar-five years clean, head down, grind up, now he’s cashing out! This dude is a menace–imagine putting down the bottle and picking up a $100M bag. That’s the new american dream right there!

Raiders sitting at pick six in the draft, new head coach or should I say old head coach, Pete Carroll who will become the oldest head coach in history at 74 in September. Crosby and Christian Wilkins are two studs anchoring the D Line. Some mocks have them grabbing Michigan DT Mason Graham, that would give them one of the best DL’s in the game. They need to add a QB–Russel Wilson reunion? Shedeur Sanders Show at 6? Trade up? Either way, Gardner Minshew ain’t it, Raider Nation. Last years first round pick Brock Bowers had one of the best rookie TE seasons ever, a serious piece to build around, they could go with another weapon like Jeanty. Whatever they do the AFC West is a meat grinder–probably 4th place again.

Bengals: Cheapskates Gonna Cheapskate

The Bengal are still pinching pennies! No extension for triple crown king Jamar Chase yet–Joey B’s guy, so they gotta figure that out this offseason. They have failed to extend Tee Higgins to a long term deal and slapped him with the franchise tag in back to back years, this year will cost them $26M. Now it looks like they also are not going to pay Trey Hendrickson, who led the NFL in sacks last season. He was literally the only bright spot on a horrible defense last year. They were trailing majority of the season and that is what led to Joey B and Jamar’s best statistical seasons.. Jamar had 30 more targets last year than any of his previous 3 seasons.. Because they were down and slanging trying to catch up.. Not exactly a winning formula. Teams who are looking to upgrade at edge now have an opportunity to trade for Hendrickson but will also probably have to extend him upon making the trade. Bengals, you have young superstars, now is the time to make some moves.

Seahawks WR Trio Evaporates in 24 hours

The Seahawks trio of WR’s now looks to be one. Tuesday, they cut Tyler Lockett! Lockett’s spent his entire 10 year career with the Hawks. Over 8500 yards and 61 touchdowns. You watch him the past couple years and he’s done a great job of saving his body, gets open, makes the catch and either gets out of bounds or gets down, a great way to extend his career. Big plays and a big heart gone. Wednesday, WR1 DK Metcalf has officially asked for a trade after weeks of contract negotiations. He is going into the final year of his 3 year $72M contract but is now wanting a deal over $30M per season. The former first round pick has spent 6 seasons in Seattle, 6300 yards, 48 touchdowns, but he only averaged 58 yards a game last year. He’s also been inconsistent, penalty machine–most flagged WR since he came into the league.

I actually like the decision by Seattle–trade him, get picks, let Jaxon Smith-Njigba eat! JSN’s a stud–another Ohio State U WR, they just keep pumping them out, I’m calling a 100-1300-10 next year. Geno has also been inconsistent but they still finished 10-7 last year. I also expect Coach McDonald to continue to improve their D. It’ll be interesting to see what they get for DK and what they can do in the draft.

WR’s On The Move

Jaguars have traded Christian Kirk to the Texans for a 7th rounder. For the Jags, they clearly have their #1 in Brian Thomas who absolutely balled out last year racking up 87-1282-10 in his rookie campaign. That dude can fly with the best of them. For the Texans, they get a solid #2 WR, when he is available, which will be key for both him and Houston. He only played 20 games in the last two seasons, not good news for the Texans who lost Stefon Diggs and Tank Dell to season ending injuries last season. They send a low risk 7th rounder but will also pay him $15.5M.

Other big name WR’s who will be available on Monday.

  • Stefon Diggs - An absolute diva. He is now 31 and coming off a season ending knee injury, he’s gonna be more of a distraction than an asset to a team.. Pass for me!

  • Chris Godwin - He was absolutely cooking through the first 8 weeks last season before getting injured. The former 3rd round pick was a stud for the Bucs, helping them win Superbowl 55 and racking up 579-7266-39 in 8 season in Tampa. He’s a slot king and would help any team he goes too. He is going to get a well deserved bag.

  • Davante Adams - He’s losing respect because he chased his boy A-Rod to New York. He’s 33 years old but still pieced together over 1k yards and 8 TD’s in 14 games last year. He’s a big body, great route runner with great hands, even as he gets older and loses speed, he can still move the sticks and be a red zone threat.

  • Keenan Allen - He’s now 32, wasn’t much of a factor in Chicago last year, as rookie QB Caleb Wiliams was sacked the 3rd most times in a season in NFL history. He also was splitting targets between DJ Moore and Romeo Odunze. Early rumours are calling a reunion back to the Super Chargers. A couple rumours to KC.. excited to see where he lands because he is one of the nastiest route runners in the game.

Which of these WR’s would you want on your team? Vote in the poll on spotify or send it to me directly. Excited to run it back Tuesday and discuss where some of these guys land.

Hope y’all have a wonderful weekend
