Protect Your Peace—You deserve it.

The holiday season has begun.

For many, it’s a time of joy, celebration, and comfort. But let’s be honest—this isn’t the reality for everyone.

Maybe it’s your first holiday season without a loved one, or perhaps it’s your 10th. Those voids are always there, and their absence feels especially heavy this time of year.

If this resonates, my heart goes out to you.

Today’s Reminder: Prioritize Your Peace and Happiness

  • If you don’t feel like going to a party, don’t go.

  • If certain people or environments drain you, opt out.

  • Have the courage to choose who gets your energy.

Here are practical ways to prioritize yourself this holiday season:

1. Say Yes to What Brings You Joy

  • Focus on the little things that light you up

  • A quiet night with your favorite holiday movie.

  • A long walk to clear your mind.

  • Intimate, one-on-one hangouts or diving into a creative project.

Big gatherings aren’t the only way to feel connected. Small, meaningful moments count too.

2. Give Grace to Yourself and Others

  • It’s okay not to feel festive. Emotions can run high, and that’s normal.

  • Offer the same grace to others—holidays can be tough for reasons we can’t always see.

3. Create New Traditions

  • If old traditions don’t resonate, start fresh

  • Volunteer your time for a cause that matters.

  • Write letters of appreciation to loved ones.

  • Do a small act of kindness, like donating a coat or meal.

These moments can be just as meaningful as the traditions you’re used to.

4. Stick to Your Daily Routine

  • Your daily habits can anchor you during this busy time. My go-to's are

  • Exercising.

  • Five minutes of breathwork and visualization.

  • Writing down three things I’m grateful for before bed.

What’s on your list? Whatever keeps you grounded, lean into it.

How to Say No, Politely and Firmly

“Thank you for the invite, but I’m unable to attend. I hope you have a wonderful time.”

No need to over-explain or fabricate reasons. Keep it polite, keep it firm.

Hosting a gathering?

Respect people’s boundaries. If someone declines, don’t push or pry—you never know what they might be navigating.

This season, choose what recharges you.

Protect your peace. Embrace the moments, people, and traditions that bring you genuine joy.

What’s one thing you’re saying no to this season? Hit reply—I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Wishing you peace, love, and happiness this holiday season.
